Dr Pinsent is a behavioural scientist who has worked as a professional evaluator and applied researcher for the past 20 years. She has expertise in applied statistics, measurement, psychometric instrument design, and methodology development. Her functional areas include program evaluation, project management, applied quantitative and qualitative research methods, community health assessment, and human resource management. Her experience includes research and practice in the academic, public and private sectors including regulatory environments. Over the past sixteen years, her work has focused on the applied areas of program evaluation, survey design and management, and community health studies. During the past ten years, Dr Pinsent has been preparing and teaching courses on various aspects of evaluation practice including the integration of quantitative and qualitative methods, sampling and surveys, analysis and interpretation of findings, effective evaluation reporting, and preparing for and managing evaluations. Related to her evaluation teaching and training, she has provided ongoing coaching and mentoring at the novice, intermediate and advanced levels.
